Survivor's Day is an annual event here at Leo Jenkins.  It will be held Thursday June 20th from 5:30 to 8:00pm.  It is a casual family oriented evening.  It is a time to celebrate our area's cancer survivors and caregivers and pay tribute to those who lost their fight.  We also stress the importance and encourage nutrition, wellness behaviors, and integrative therapies. Pastor Rosie O'Neal is our guest speaker.  We have music, games, a kids zone, informational tables, massages, a survivor raffle, and dinner. Come celebrate our nation's birthday in Uptown Selma on the 4th of July. Festival hours are from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00.  This year's event will feature live DJ, children's area vendors, and fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.  Come witness one of the best fireworks display in Johnston County!  For more information: 975-1411.
 
08.21.2013 Northside High School Senior Class Breakfast
 
Our Seniors are our Future! Parents will be holding a senior breakfast for the 2014 graduating class of Northside High School, located at 7868 Free Union Church Rd, Pinetown NC. We are asking for any donation that you can provide to make this breakfast successful.  The breakfast will be held on August 21, 2014 at the school. The breakfast is totally funded by parents and community donations and we need your help! We would like to give out door prizes to each and every student and there is approximately 110 of them. Please help us make their last year of high school the best! Thank you so much! Tshirts, cds, gift pacs, anything is appreciated. 
 
 
09.07.13 & 09.08.13 MS Bike: Histroic New Bern Ride
 
Bike MS is a 2-day cycling event that raises funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis in North and South Carolina and throughout the United States. Money raised through this event funds MS research, programs, services, and advocacy. In 2012, over 2,100 participants raised $1,714,476 to create a world free of MS. This year, our goal is to raise $1.8 million!
 
Bike MS cyclists enjoy two full days of riding through rural eastern North Carolina. Each day, cyclists can choose to ride 30, 75, 50 or 100 miles on fully-supported routes. At the conclusion of each day's ride, cyclists are greeted by cheerful volunteers, a delicious, hot meal, ice cold beverages, and live entertainment. It's a great time, you should join us!

Chiari Walk Across America is a series of local awareness and fundraising walks held across the country on the same day. Join us on this special day and help the thousands of families struggling with this terrible disease. All proceeds will be used to fund Chiari research, education and awareness programs.
 
Participation is free. T-shirts will be provided for pre-registered walkers with a minimum donation of $25(deadline is 8/16). 09.21.13 & 09.22.13 MS Bike: Breakaway to the Beach
 
Bike MS: Breakaway to the Beach is a two-day cycling event organized by the Greater Carolinas Chapter of the Nat ional MS Society. This ride is one of longest standing non-profit events of its kind in the Carolinas with an average of 1,500 cyclists, 400 volunteers and countless supporters and spectators participating each year. The ride raises funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis in North and South Carolina and throughout the United States.
There is a registration fee of $35 and a fundraising minimum of $300. The routes offered are 30 miles, 50 miles, 80 miles, and 100 miles. You must be 16 years or older to participate.
 
The 2013 ride will once again take you to the beach -- a destination experience with start sites in Monroe, NC and Kershaw, SC, and a fun-filled overnight at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. Cyclists will ride to the coast, ending at Sunset Beach, NC.
